Does BiteSum work without an internet connection?
Yes. Logging, editing, and daily totals work offline, and your everyday data stays on your phone.
How do I log a meal in BiteSum?
Type or talk naturally, like "two eggs and a flat white". You can also fix entries in plain English.
Which macros does BiteSum track?
BiteSum shows calories, protein, carbs, fat, fibre, and sugar for each entry and for your day.
What is BiteSum Pro?
Pro adds fresh AI credits for optional cloud guidance when the app cannot confidently estimate a food on-device. Local logging is free, and we have committed in the Terms to keeping it free.
Why did cloud AI estimates stop?
Cloud AI estimates use credits. When credits run out, BiteSum keeps working with on-device estimates.
How do I manage a subscription?
On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Choose BiteSum to manage or cancel.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open BiteSum, go to Settings, then use Restore Purchases while signed into the same App Store account.
Where is my food data stored?
Your food log is stored on your phone during normal use. See the Privacy Policy for optional uploads.
Something is broken. What helps?
Please include your phone model, iOS version, and what happened. If you choose to send a diagnostic report, it only sends when you tap send.
Is BiteSum medical advice?
No. BiteSum gives nutrition estimates for general guidance only. Talk to a health professional for medical or dietary advice.
